So I did a little research on the magic of the dzi. I think I have a collection of over a dozen dzi's from different sources in the world. Some, from Tibet others from Bhutan and more from Taiwan who claimed it was from Tibet. What I've uncovered is that no 2 dzi feels the same. Not all dzi's work the way you think it will. Some positive gains follow a negative event. Plus, it does not have to be ancient to work. If anything the most ancient ones have an aging energy that might make you sick.

Some depending on where they came from and who the previous owner were can give you terrible nightmares. Some for me, while wearing them, had me become aware of people's darker sides. I almost got involved in public fights with strangers. So not like me and un-Buddhist if you ask me.

Perhaps, though, the one thing all dzi had me face was that mankind does have a lot of flaws. Just because you change does not mean people around you changed or even care. Realize we can be cruel creatures with irrational angers, fears and jealousies. At times it feels like man is the devil himself in saints clothing. Well, on the bright side we are given this life to transgress and evolve into a higher being ...however, not all of us are going to make it.

One's affinity to the dzi usually starts out as an affinity to Buddha's teaching. Once we master the lessons of Buddha we can reap the rewards of ridding bad karma, making sound judgments of people surrounding us, and be responsible in areas of finance and love.

Making sound judgments however, is not the same as being judgmental and critical. It's about understanding peoples patterns and watching out for their shortcoming to prevent yourself from paying the consequences of their actions. Yes, once you realize a person's behavioral pattern you can steer clear and take precautionary steps to avoid being hit in the cross fires.

Then being responsible in money does not necessarily mean work like a dog or make pipe dream wishes. It does mean pay up your debt and try not to acquire new ones while figuring out creative ways to make more. Understand the money game and the rules of how it works. If you work within the system given, you can acquire almost anything you desire.

Also, being responsible in love means to take accountability that any of your relationship whoas are in fact half your fault if not more. Somewhere we all bring upon ourselves sadness with our negative behavioral patterns and belief systems. Along a perfectly blissful union someone's patterns came out and triggered their partner's defense patterns.

Realize, the most influential teachers in our lives usually are our partners. These are the people some higher force brought us together with, to show us our weaknesses and shortcomings. Man and women are only the devil to each other when they WILL not learn from each other. When they will not accept the lesson, they will suffer heartbreak after heartbreak. Hence, the term Karmic Connection is deceptively romantic. You can't let go of painful relationships at times because Karma says it's not time. But like all debts, it's time to pay up. Eventually, your knowledge will accumulate a surplus of wealth that will rid the debt for good. And the heaven on earth love you've been dreaming about can be yours.

Once you decide to trace back the steps of your life, you will find out why things happened the way they did. Some, we were a victim to, and some, we created from our victimization. Our Karma is nothing more than our behavioral patterns repeating itself over and over. Eventually our patterns will catch up with us. If you are lucky enough to not have to pay for your actions consider it you get out of jail free card and realize it may only happen a few times. If you don't believe in the laws of Karma, what goes around comes around, believe in the law of probability.

Any brainiac can tell you if you keep on doing the same negative thing one day you'll piss off the wrong person. And by then, this person will probably have an army of supporters to take you down. It's not the fact you get pay back that's disturbing, it's amplitude of people who pay you back all at the same time.

So, now that we understand how karma works perhaps the world will be a better place for a few of us. Perhaps you can meditate on your dzi to bring you a deeper understanding of this mystical place called earth.
