Did I not say the year of the monkey was menacing? He builds to destroy and destroys to rebuild. We can attest the year was full of surprises. Tsunami victims were indeed caught of guard but it did bring the world closer and brought aid to those who had no more hope. Far from perfection, but no one said the monkey was perfect.

Now that the experimental year is over we will move on to a less immature kind of energy. The rooster energy is quite the opposite if his monkey brother. He's the responsible one. He's the one that gets up at the crack of dawn to drudge ourselves to daily work. His role is to wake us up from our own darkness and make best of the new day.

This is a rather testing year where new relationships break up old ties. There's a lot more mourning for families, but also a lot more closeness among family and friends. Hardly a year where one can make big gains in commerce unless you have a Snake or Ox in your chart. If so, expect your stick-to-it-ness and wisdom bring you closer to your pot of gold.

Those in the year of Rats, Tigers and Dogs will find rivals at work but eventually dies down at near years' end. Rabbits reach a transitional phase where you'll end up trying something you've never tried before. Dragons will be put under a microscope as criticism will force them to re-evaluate their egocentric stubborn ways. Horses, once again trying to be superman, has to stop and think about one option at a time and give up some of the unlucrative ideas. Sheep, through their frugal ways finds some extra money to spend this year. Perhaps put it into a new home? The Monkey can now follow through with his dreams (which means the US economy has a chance). But dear Rooster his own year is coming, foreboding challenges, where he should know he is the only reason for his own fall backs. As for piggy's expect a mellow year with good friends.
